Freins for Wooden Violin Pipes - Set of 24

These are all shipped flat- not bent

These Freins, or harmonic brakes, are for use on wooden violin organ pipes like those found on band organs and other automatic musical instruments. These are newly punched from .032" brass. The blade width is 1-1/2" wide. This will fit the largest of most violin pipes in a band organ. They are to be trimmed to fit narrower pipes. The overall length is 2-11/16". The blade height is 1/2" and the brace width for the blade is 3/8" wide. These will fit pipe caps that are at least 1-5/8" long. The fourth photo shows this type of frein installed on a 1-5/8" pipe cap. The slots for the screws are 1/8" wide and 5/16" long. The slots work well with #3 Round Head wood screws. 1/4" screws for the bottom slot and 3/8" screws in the top slot work well, screws and washers are not included.
